About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

do I have to submit the BIR & bank req. even though my brother will shoulder the expenses to China?

If your brother will sponsor you, you have to provide his BIR & bank Req. and a sponsorship letter from him to assit your visa application.

Thank you for the reply Ms. Johna. Me and my siblings will be going to China for a group tour of 5 come June 13 to 17. Three will be coming from US including my brother who will be shouldering all the expenses of the said tour. Their respective Visas will be applied in the US. My sister (a government employee) and I are based in the Philippines who will be applying for the L Visa here in Manila. We are very much worried of the bank account requirement. As much as we would like to go to Beijing we would like to have an assurance coming from you guys that such requirement is not applicable to me and to my sister. By the way, when is the best time to apply for a visa? Thank you and GOD bless.

If you will visit next June, you can apply visa next April or May. Bank statement from your brother is required to apply visas for you and your siblings. As well as the certificate of your relationship.
