character certificate.

hi there!
i have studied for 4 years in china for my MBBS degree now i have completed it and back home.So now i am getting american visa and they required me police clearence or character certificate for the visa completion and they told me that i will get it from china embassy with validity of three months,so plz provide me with some helpful information
