what is required for a HK born Chinese apply for a HK ID?

I am a Hong Kong born Chinese and now live in Canada. I have a Hong Kong ID. My 20years old daughter who was born and live in Canada would like to apply for an Hong Kong ID as well, please tell me if we can apply in Canada, and what is required. Thank you for your answer.

The HK ID can only be processed in HK, but you are able to make online registration first and send application to HK Immigration. Or apply in person when you visit HK. AS I know, HK birth certificate is required. You can refer to http://www.gov.hk/en/residents/immigration/idcard/hkic/faq_hkic.htm for more details.
