About:Zhujiajiao Water Town

Getting to Zhujiajiao from Jian Gong Jing Jiang Hotel (downtown of Xujiahui District)

Hi There, i'm planning a visit on Sunday 2 December and wondered what you recommend is the most direct way to get there from our hotel (No. 691 Jian Gong Road West)? We will only have time to visit one water town out of the city, and i have heard others mention TongLi and Zhouzhuang - whichi do you think is the best to visit if only 1?

You can walk to Hengshan Station to take the subway line 1 to reach People's Square Station and then getting out of the station and then you will find Huzhu Express. Take them to reach the water town.
In my opinion, a whole day is enough for a general visit of Zhouzhuang. May I ask how long will you plan to visit one of the water town? If I can know about your general plan, I may help you to check whether you have enough time for visiting Zhouzhuang.

Thanks Kate for your response - that is really helpful. We will have one whole day free for a visit to a water town - but hoping to be back in Shanghai for about 6pm to meet a friend. If you recommend Zhouzhuang instead of Zhujiaojiao, i'll look into that option.
