Transport from Guangzhou to Guilin

May i know the different between Train & Bus Transport. Train from Guangzhou to Guilin takes 13 hours. How long does Bus takes. Also Bus from Guangzhou to Yangshuo takes. We will be travelling from Guangzhou to Guilin on 19/12/12. Please advice on which type of transport to take. Is night bus dangerous. How many is the cost to take train from Guangzhou to Guilin on softsleeper, bus for night sleeper and seat on bus for travelling. Thanks.

Hi, the bus from Guangzhou to Guilin will take about 8-9h. Actually, those buses pass through YS.
Generally, the night bus is safe. But surely you can take the bus departing in the early morning at Guangzhou Provincial Bus Station in case.
Trains for your journey cost about CNY310-330 for soft slpeer.
And the bus fare is CNY180.

Is bamboo raft operate during mid dec'12, how much. Is the trip to & from YS on bamboo raft. Can we do cycling in YS during mid dec'12. What is the weather in dec'12 & are we able to view the beautiful scenery. What sort of clothes should we wear.
