About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Our cruise goes to Hong Kong and Shanghai next March/April. Visa required? Which one?

My husband and I hold Australian passports and are Australian citizens. When would be a good time to apply for a visa if we need one? We have 2 days in Hong Kong - overnight on the ship and one day visiting Shanghai.

Yes, visa is required to Shanghai. Either a Tourist L or a Transit G is ok. A single entry visa is valid for 3 months from issue date, so you can apply in next Feb.
