About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

Travel from South Africa to Hong Kong then China

I am a south african passport holder. What is needed if
I'm visiting a family friend in Hong Kong for 3 days and would
Like to visit China for a day and return to Hong Kong then South Africa on
the 5th day? What are the procedures.
Do I need a visa?

You need a visa to mainland China only. documents needed are your passport, application form, photo, the latest 3 months bank-statements with adequate money, Hotel reservation in China and Round-trip ticket booking. The regular processing takes 4 working days.
