About:Embassy & Consulates of Malaysia in China

Can i renew my passport in Guangzhou malaysia embassy?

I am currently working in Shunde, Foshan, my passport issuance date is April 16 2010 with a validity of 5 years, however, it if full now, so can i renew my passport in Guangzhou Malaysia Embassy? what should i prepare & how long can i collect my passport?

Yes, you can renew it in Guangzhou from the consulate-general of Malaysia. You have to provide the followings:
1. Application Form (IMM42 Amend.1/97)
2. Two recent photographs
a) Size - 3.5 cm x 5.0 cm
b) Light Blue background
3. your Identity Card (IC) and 2 photocopy of it
4. residence permit & Work Permits in China,original and one copy
5. your current passport and 2 photocopy of every pages of the passport

the new passport will be produced within 3 months.
