About:China Transit Visa

I guess I don't need a visa if I stay in the terminal building at the airport？

I have a 10 hour layover in Beijing airport terminal 3 en route from Sydney to Vancouver. Do I need one to take a bus tour into Beijing during the layover?

You are right that you don't need any visa if you stay within the airport transitional area, but you will need one if you plan to visit the city during the stop.
