About:China Embassy in Thailand

Can SriLankan,with non imig. multip.entry Thai visa, get single entry china visa from Bangkok office

I am a Sri Lankan passport holder, came to Bangkok on 6th Oct for a 6 months consultancy with Asian Disaster Preparedness center. I have multiple entry Thai visa valid till 5th Jan. 2013, which will be further extended till 5th April 2013.
I was invited to attend a two day International workshop on Bio Gas conducted in Chengdu China during 20th- 22nd Nov. Travel lodging and other expenses associated with this workshop will be met by the organizers. Since I am now in Bangkok I look forward to get it to China from Bangkok consulate office. Please inform me weather I can send my application to Chinese Embassy in Bangkok.

Mail application is not acceptable, you may need to submit application to the office in person, or pass the application to others if you can not go in person.
