About:China Customs Declaration

Items brought into China declared value for customs

In one of your answers on items brought into China you say 1. Any item that will be left in China whose value exceeds 2,000 CNY. Should be reported. Is this for each item or total of all items being left. For example... gold ring 1,800 yuan, jeans 150 yuan, shoes 300 yuan.

It is for each item. One thing to mention, according to the regulations, if gold, silver and the products made from them are less than 50g (2 ounce), they are duty-free and do not need to be declared. If the weight exceeds the limitation, you should declare it.
