No places to have food within the walking distance from your hotel. There are many shops and reastaurants on Changyang Road, which is about 2 kilometers from your hotel. You can walk there, but it is suggested to take a taxi, because it is still some distance away from your hotel and you may get lost.

I just returned from there. The Bund is all about people watching and looking at their amazing buildings which are lit up at night. Take a boat ride and end your evening on the last day in the Hyatt hotel for a bite to eat and a drink. There you get an amazing view at night but it is expensive. The big mall seemed like it would be middle of the road. Stay away from the "Temple" if you don't like a raw crowd selling junk. It's the real China Town. The young people had amazing shoes. By the way, black leggings and sequins/studs are in. Those more daring wear black nylons with short pleather shorts. They are trendy for sure. It's humid there so dress accordingly. I would have visited the nicer places if I had known the areas.
