bus from sea world (shekou) to guangzhou

Question

Hi, curently I stay in sea world (Shekou) for business trip. I plan to travel to GZ next weekend. What is the best transport for me if I want to go on afternoon (after office hours)...? Bus or train? And where it will be stop? And what is your recomendation for the cheap hotel to stay there, but with best location to make me easier for travelling around guang zhou by walking? please advise. thanks

I think the fastest way is to take the subway from Shekou to Luohu and then take the bullet train to reach GZ East Railway Station.Then you can take the subway to reach Haizhu Plaza easily, where you can find many hotels there. If you stay near that area, you can travel to any major places in the city by walk there.
