Public transport from Chongqing to Laitan

We will visit Laitan old town (day trip) from the city. We read on the internet that we should take a bus from to Hechuan (2 h bus trip, is this correct?) and than take a bus to Laitan (50 minutes, again is this correct?, Is this from the same bus station?)

Now we saw on the internet that Hechuan is the first stop to Chengdu highspeed train and that it would only take 27 minutes to Hechuan. So , isn't much quicker to take the train? Is it easy to get from the train station to the bus station in Hechuan? Or are there buses from the train station to Laitan? Any other inconveniences of taking the train instead of the bus?
