About:China Work Visa

Changing residence permits

I have a residence permit from my school. My wife has one from her company too. Recently, she quit her job and wants to join my visa. It should be easy since we're married. Can she change from her current residence permit to mine? Or does she need to leave the country and get a L visa first?

I think she has to leave the country in order to get a new depedent visa on yours.
