Shopping and bargaining in Guilin

Is it the norm to bargain in night markets? If so, by what percentage should we try to reduce the price of things. I intend to get some things but don't want to be fleeced.

It is very common to bargain in night market, but what percentage is hard to decide. You can first cut off 50% and to add your money gradually until you and the merchant achieve a reasonable price.
