guangzhou to dafen

Question

I am attending the Canton Fair and stay at the holiday inn shifu. I'm also wanting to go and see the Dafen Village in Shenzhen. Can some please tell me the best route/ option to go from hotel to village. Been looking it up but I do not know far away from from guangzhou east railway station from hotel and once in shenzhen how to get to Dafen Village. I appreciate the response sooo much

You hotel is near the Huangsha Station of subway line 1, so you can walk there to take the line 1 to reach the East Train Station where you can take the bullet train for Shenzhen. After you reach SZ at Luohu Railway Station, you can take the subway Luobao Line to reach Laojie Station where you need to change to Longgang Line to reach Dafen Station.
