Australian living in Japan needing visa for China

I'm living in Japan and will need to go to China for a business trip, I understand the forms I need to fill and documents I need to provide. But how and where can I hand them into in while I'm in Japan. Sending them to the Chinese Embassy in Australia I think is impossible.

If you are living in Japan, you can submit your application to the embassy or consulate which hold consular jurisdiction of your place in Japan.
