Chinese tourist visa in Thailand

Hello. I am traveling in Thailand right now and trying to obtain a tourist visa to China for Oct. 13th-20th of 2012. I can only come to the embassy on Wednesday Oct. 10th, as I have a flight on the 13th I have a short window to receive it. I want to make sure I have everything set so there are no mistakes. I am bringing my passport, two passport photos, copies of the flight itinerary, copies of hotel bookings, and I will fill out two applications when I get to the embassy. I am meeting my brother there and I believe he already has his Chinese visa he obtained from America. I will pay the extra fee to expedite the visa. Is there anything I am missing for the application process or is there any reason I would be denied? Thank you for your help.

These documents are fine. But keep in mind that there is possibility that the officers may ask for valid Thai residence permit or long term visa.
