Can anyone tell me what bus stop it is outside of Zhengzhou no 1 middle school?

Well, Ti. Do you mean the middle school on Tongbai Road? As far as I know, there are several branches of Zhengzhou No. 1 High School.
If so, you can take bus No. 76 to from Mianfang Road & Tongbai Road Stop to reach Zhongyuan Road & Daxue Road Stop and then change to Bus K903 to reach Er Qi Square. If you cannot find the Daxue Road Stop, you can take taxi to reach, since this place is close to the square.

I meant the No 1. New Middle School on Zongyuan Road.

I believe from what I have found https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/henan/zhengzhou now that I'm to catch the 44 but this stops at the Railstation (as per hte link). I can't find a map to show me where to walk thereafter?

Well, dear, you are right. Taking bus No. 44 to reach the Railway Station and then change to Bus No. 93 or No 95 to reach the square. Or you can just take a taxi to reach, because the square is very close to the railway station.
