I want to visit China but the problem is i'm not working. Do you think i can get a visa?

My American Bf will be the one to shoulder all the expenses. We already traveled to other countries but they are not required for visa. Since, i did not worked i am just worried about the ITR and other documents that they need... What's the best things to do?
