Monkey & Snake = Long Lasting?

This is a 3 year sign difference and considered incompatible signs, sometimes instructed to be avoided. How does this relationship get listed in the chart with a more positive review? This is my relationship and I've seen this pair on both sides of the compatibility scale from many different resources. Where does it work? Where does it fail?

Hi, accprding to Chinese Astrology, Chinese Monkey and Snake are not the most compatible couple. In order to make it work, both parties have to truly be committed. Monkey is always on the go and they love to have fun. They also love to work hard at a challenge. This means they may tend to travel a lot for their job. They love adventure. Snake, on the other hand, is possessive. They must feel appreciated to be happy in a relationship. Monkey's natural inclination to flirt will drive Snake up a wall. This in turn makes Monkey crazy. Both signs will need to control their natural inclinations and try their best to meet the needs of the other.

Monkey and Snake is a "soulmate" connection. The soulmate connections, according to Chinese astrology, are THE BEST combinations for love, romance and partnerships.
The soulmate connections are as follows: Rat and Ox, Tiger and Pig, Rabbit and Dog, Dragon and Rooster, SNAKE AND MONKEY, Horse and Sheep.
The Snake and Monkey is the most dangerous, devious, cunning, and possibly most powerful and passionate of ALL the soulmate connections. Both the snake and the monkey signs are considered to be the most hypersexual of all the signs. They are dangerous for others,as the Snake is the master of strategy and the Monkey is the master of tactics. both are similar in nature, but their behaviour is somewhat different. While the cool Snake avoids unwanted attention, the candid Monkey clowns around. Yet the only sign which can match the Snake in allure, guile, and sex is the Monkey. The only problem in this relationship is infidelity and mutual suspicion. Snakes are notorious for their roving eyes even when partnered, and the Monkey, even though has the reputation of being the most promiscous of the signs, actually becomes the most loyal of all the signs when partnered into commitment (Monkeys never commit easily, but when they commit, it's forever.) The snake should not try playing mind games with the Monkey (which the Snake is often notorious for), because Monkey will challenge the Snake with his own brand of cunning and guile (the Monkey cannot help but show his prowess when challenged). Both the Monkey and the Snake, (alongwith the Ox) believe in revenge. Keeping Monkey loyal is totally the Snake's responsibility.
Initially, the Snake is often suspicious and uncomfortable around the clever and outgoing Monkey, and the Monkey views the quiet yet manipulative Snake with distrust. But if they cut to the chase, they are actually is the best match for each other (this pairing is fortuitous for them, because together, with their many talents, they are almost INVINCIBLE).
