About:Jinshanling Great Wall

Weekday bus transportation to Jinshanling

I will not be able to travel there on the weekend, so I need to take the bus from Dongzhimen to Miyun and transfer to a local bus at Miyun, or else take the long-distance bus to Chengde and get off at the Jinshanling intersection and probably walk to the wall. Which of these routes is faster? How far is it from the intersection on the Chengde highway to the wall? If going through Miyun is faster, what is the bus number from Dongzhimen to Miyun? Where would I find the tourist bus in Miyun, and how often does it run? Is there a number for the Chengde bus? Where would I find schedules for these buses? (I can read Chinese.) Thanks!

It is faster going through Miyun. It is bus 980 Kuaiche from Dongzhimen. You can find the tourist bus upon arrival at the bus station at Miyun. Usually, it is more convenient for visitors to hire a minibus after off the bus. If you take a bus to Chengde at Liuliqiao Long Distance Bus Station, the bus leaves at about every one hour between 08:00 and 18:00, and get off at the Intersection. It is about 4km from the intersection to the scenic area.

Hi I plan to visit Jinshanling in Nov. Regarding the 980 kuaiche, how long does it take to reach Miyun? Also from Miyun to Jinshanling, how long would the tourist bus or mini bus take?

What is the time for 1st bus out of Dongzhimen to Miyun? Is there a time for last bus from Miyun back to Dongzhimen?

It takes about 2 hours to go to Miyun from BJ - but it really depends on the traffic that day. From Miyun, you'll need another 1.5 hours to get to JinShanLing.
