Transport from new Kunming airport

I would like to find out the best way to travel from the new airport to the West bus station bound for Dali.
I am thinking of either taking the subway to East bus station and transfer by cab. Or taking shuttle line 2 to railway station and then by cab. Can someone tell me which way is better. Thanks in advance!!!
