Tourist visa for Malaysian passport holder

Hello, I am a malaysian passport holder with australian permanent residency status and resides in Australia. I plan to travel to China in early September. I have been to China before.
Do i need a visa? If so, what is the quickest way to apply for one in Melbourne Australia?
I have about 8 months and 2 weeks remaining on my passport. I will be renewing in October after my trip back. Can i get multiple re-entry visa to China in September?

Yo do need to apply for a proper China visa based on your travel purpose from the local embassy or consulate of China.

If you are living in Melbourne, you ahould apply for the visa from the China Visa application Service Center at GROUND FLOOR, 570 ST KILDA RD., MELBOURNE, VIC 3004, Australia.

If you want to get the visa soon, you may use the rush service by paying soem additional fee.

If there is only 8 month validity left on your present passport, you will not be able to get a multiple entry China visa.
