ask for a tourist visa to China

I am going as a tourist for one month. I wonder if it is possible to apply for it in Copenhagen even though I am Swedish and don't live or work there? I live in Malm so the Chinese embassy in Copenhagen is the easiest to go to. A friend of mine has visited copenhagen and take the tourist L at the same day.
