It would be a nice choice to visit the Longsheng Terraces due to the beautiful scenery and the pleasant weather then.
For hiking along Li River in May, it would be very comfortable.
During the mid and late May, Longsheng and Li River would offer you a pleasant trip with the mild sunshine. The average temperature then could be about 25 C. Anyway, it may rain a lot, so you need take along the rainy gear and pay much attention to the weather forecast.
During that period, it would be the late Spring of Beijing. The average temperature could be about 20 C. Long-sleeved shirts, light jackets and thin sweaters are proper. It is cool, windy and dry but temperature varies sharply from the daytime to the nights.
Chengdu (Mt. Emei) then would be warm with an average temperature of 21 C. While, on the top of the Mt. Emei, it might be cooler, so you need take along simple warm clothes climing the mountain.
