bustrain from xiamen to hong kong via shenzhen

Question

I need to go from Xiamen to Hong Kong, but I am sure neither bus nor train crosses the border.  Do I take a bus or train and stop in shenzhen and then take a taxi to border.  Then cross the border and get a bus or train to downtown Kowloon?Bus or train from Xiamen to where and change?  Any idea on how long it takes or how much it costs?Thank you for any answers you can provide.

You can take long-distance bus from Xiamen Hubin or Songbai Long-distance Bus Station to Luohu bus station in Shenzhen. The bus fare is abour CNY180-200 and it takes about 7-8 hours.  After off the bus at Luohu, it is a walking distance for you to get to Luohu Border. Go to clear the customs, you will get into HK. Then you can take the metro East Rail Line to get to downtown kowloon area of HK.
