If you want to buy a house in China, you should get the qualification first. According to the latest regulations, foreign people who intend to buy a house in China can be qualified under the two condistions. The first is that China gives the privilige to the citizens of some countries who once negotiated with Chinese relevent department. The other is that those who study or work in China for more than one year are qualified.
The average price for the houses in there is about CNY 6, 000 per square meters. And the highest price can reach CNY 8,900 per square meter.

Hello, there is a house you can buy, big tibetan traditional house. But you need to have a resident permit in China. If yes and if you are interested, orice is 800'000 RMB for 480 m2. all in wood.
If you want to know more details, feel free to ask me.
