going to hukou waterfall by tourist bus

Question

We will be visiting Xian  from 15-20 Oct. 8 of us would like to go to Hukou by tourist bus from Xian. Where can we board the bus at Xian. What time does the bus leaves and return. Do you have any other suggestion? Thanks

I think you need to make a transfer in Yan'an. There is bullet train from Xian to Yan'an at 09:18 from Xian North Railway Station, which will take you about two hours and a half. Then you can go the South Railway Station on the opposite side of Yan'an Railway Station to take the bus to reach Yichuan. Then you can stay in Yichuan for a night. Then next day, there are many buses for Hukou from Yichuan, which you can take.
