Visa application for a single entry

I will visit Beijing January 13-15, 2013, a single entry as a tourist. Can I apply for a visa more than 90 days before this date? (before October 13, 2012)

No, a single entry can only be valid for 90 days from issue date, it will expire if you apply too early. The best time to apply is one or two months before the departure date.
