If you apply for the first for a visa to China, you can not get a multiple entries. You can try to submit your visa application to Chinese embassy in Afghanistan. Invitation letter from China may be required as well if your purpose is to visit the lady. About the photo required, you can refer to http://af.china-embassy.org/eng/lsfw/qz/P020120527844950236042.pdf If you get your China visa, it is not a problem to fly line inbound to China.
