About:China Visa Application in USA

The website: 1. no personal/company checks and 2. make checks or money orders payable to...

Can we write personal checks to the Chinese Embassy? 1. and 2. appear to be contradictory.

Chinese embassy and consulate in USA accept Money Order and Cashier's Check (excluding personal/company check) as means of payment.
