About:China Customs Declaration

Bringing whey protein powder through custom

I'm traveling to Beijing and Yunnan Province for a 2 month research and study stay. I train every day (strength and running training) and use whey protein powder as a supplement to my food. While I'm in China I would like to continue to use whey protein powder.
My question is are there any problems taking it on a flight to China and go through customs with it? I mean, protein powder can look alittle suspicious and I don't want to cause great confusion at the customs at the airport, but I will also be sorry to do without it because I care a lot about my training.

Yes, you can take it, but you need to pay tax for the part over self use according to China customs regulation. Anyway, if you are still confused, you can call your airline company to ask for details.
