From Shanghai to Guilin, there is about 1600 kilometers and about 2000 kilometers between Guilin and Beijing. The best way between these cities are the flight, because the train will take you so long on the journey.
Although Guilin is a beautiful city for traveling, I am afraid that there is not such kind of school there, so you need to go to Shanghai or Beijing.
Both Shanghai and Beijing are good and they all have that kind of courses. It depends on you preference. Generally speaking, if you prefer to live in a modern and mild climate city, Shanghai is the best city. If you want to appreciate the splendid history of China as well as the modern city, Beijing is suggested. Hope you can do a good job on your mandrin.
