is it safe to visit the muthianyu great wall in late dec?

We are travelling to Beijing the first time in Dec. Is it better to visit the Badaling or the Mutianyu Great wall during that time? We heard Mutianyu is more scenic but we are worried that the journey may not be so safe during winter especially when it snows. Is it true?

It is safe to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall in winter. Based on my experience, Mutianyu Great Wall is much worth to see than the Badaling Great Wall and is better to take the photos. It is more beautiful than the Badaling. In opinion, you had better choose a sunny day to go, so the temperature is not so low.
