Do i need X visa or some other type of visa for this short duration study?

hi ,i would like to go for 5 months study in china ,so do i need X visa or some other type of visa for this short duration study ,in that case do i need to fill the additional V2011B form or not ? Another question is for short duration is it the same like long duration study JW202 form needed along with the admission letter by university or its something different for short duration course ,please clarify me ,Thank you
