About:China Visa Application in USA

Can I get my husband's VISA in DC when I get mine?

My husband & I plan to visit our son in China in October. He is teaching there. Can I get my husband's VISA in DC when I get mine? 2- is same day allowed? and 3- as I don't know how long our son will be there, is it acceptable to ask for a multiple, 1-2 year VISA ? Who would you recommend to actually get the VISAS for us so I don't have to deal with the travel to DC? THANKS so much!

1. yes, you can apply for the visa for your husband on his behalf, but the visa application form must be filled and signed by himself.
2. China embassy in Washington, D.C. does provide same day service, but you will have to psubmit your application early in the morning and pay an additional fee of $20 per person.
3. Only Chinese citizens' spouses and children with American nationality, as well as the Chinese American born in China (including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau) and their spouses and children, are eligible to apply for a long-term valid "L" visa with multiple-entries.
4. You may get the appointed travel services by calling the embassy directly.
