About:Changchun Travel

Can you recommend places of interest to visit on 29.8.12 & from 3rd-5th Sept, 2012 in Changchun?

A group of us (7-9 pax) is going to Changchun for the 19th Redbull World Chinese Badminton 2012. Our tournament is from 31-Aug-2012 to 2-Sep-2012 and would like to visit some places of interest in Changchun nearby before & after our tournament. Would appreciate your recommendation as this is our first visit to Changchun.

Changchun is blessed with many fantastic natural and historical attractions and the most important of these are as follows: Jilin Provincial Museum, Capital Cities and Tombs of the Ancient Koguryo Kingdom, Museum of Imperial Palace of Manchu State, Wen Temple (Confucius Temple), Jingyuetan National Forest Park, Nanhu Park (South Lake Park), etc. If you have interest, you can also go to climb the famous Changbai Mountain.

For 1-2 days on 29th & 30th Aug,2012 where can we go? Then after the tournament on 3rd to 5th Sep 2012, where can we visit? Can you propose a tour or recommend travel agent for tour arrangement?

Traveling by yourself is suggested, since your journey in Changchun will be interupted by the tournament, so it is hard to join the travel agency.
For the 1-2 days, you can pick some close attractive spots in or near the city, such as the Jilin Provincial Museum, Capital Cities and Tombs of the Ancient Koguryo Kingdom and Museum of Imperial Palace of Manchu State.
For the three days after the tournament, you can choose to go to climb the Changbai Mountain in Jilin.
