About:Taiwan Weather

Will be visiting Taiwan in mid-August. Is it a good time to go? Will I hit the monsoons?

To be frank, it is not a good time to visit Taiwan in Mid-August. It is extremely hot and humid. The temperature may be high to 35C. There is a lot of rainfall during that period. Typhoon also happens unexpectly sometimes at that time. You'd better aviod this period for visiting Taiwan.
