chair lift operating? sights by stairs ?

I would like to enquire about the route up Mount Cangshan. 1) Will the chairlift at Zhonghe Temple or Gantong Temple be working at around 15 August 2012 ?I read that it is currently(as of April 2012) not operating. 2) If I take be to take the chairlift up to Zhonghe Temple, take the northern path for 3km to enjoy the clearest view of the entire valley, then head back south past Zhonghe Temple towards Gantong Temple. And then, keep walking the full 11km until you reach Gangtong. If you are not up to the full walk, you can exit the mountain aboutit the mountain about 3km past Zhonghe Temple down a well made stairway behind Dali Tianlongbabu TV City. If I take the stairs, can I still see the 4 valleys through offers spectacular views of both the mountains and forests as well as the entire valley.3) I read that 7 Dragon Maidens pool and Phoenix' Eye Cave are closed as of May 2012. Will they reopen in Mid August 2012 ?

The chairlift at Gantong Temple will be working at around 15 August 2012. If you take the stairs, you can still see the 4 valleys through offers spectacular views of both the mountains and forests as well as the entire Dali valley. There is no offical news about the reopen of 7 Dragon Maidens pool and Phoenix' Eye Cave currently.
