clothing for Harbin

Hi - travelling to Harbin Jan 2013 for the festival stopping over in Guangzhou for a couple of days on the way. The tour stays at the airport hotel and I believe there is easy subway access into the city. Is it reasonable to buy cold weather clothing there? And can you recommend anywhere in particular?

Definitely, it is reasonalbe to buy cold weather clothing such as down coat in Harbin.
There is no subway from the airport to the city center, but you can choose the shuttle bus from the airport.
If you want to buy the down coat, Hualian International Shopping Mall is a good choice. You can take the shuttle bus line 3 to get to Xuanhua Street Station and then take a cab to the Shopping Mall.
