Is it possible to travel free & easy around Jiuzhaigou and the other few scenic areas?

I think so. Apart from Jiuzhaigou, you can also go to Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area, Songpan Ancient Town and other attractions.
Don't worry about the transportation!
For Jiuzhaigou, there is sightseeing buses taking you to watch the beautiful scenery and some small scenic spots there.
From Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong, the direct buses are arranged at 06:30 and 07:00 departing from Jiuzhaigou. It costs about CNY 38.
From Jiuzhaigou to Songpan, the direct buses depart at 07:40 and 13:oo from Jiuzhaigou. It costs about CNY 70.
Anyway, if you wanna go around the scenic areas of Jiuzhaigou, I advise you hire a car for a better and convenient trip.
