CRUISE PORTS:XINGANG AND SHANGHAI, DO I NEED TO SECURE VISA?

Hi! I am a Filipino citizen, I'll be on a world cruise starting January and Xingang and Shanghai is one of the ports to visit. Do I need to secure a visa even if I am arriving via cruise ship? The ship will be arriving on both ports in morning and departs same day at 5pm. Thanks!
