About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Is a visa required if staying at the airport.

Hi I am an Australian citizen and have a 16 hour stopover in Guangzhou and will not be leaving the airport. I will be staying at the hotel located in the airport will I need to obtain a visa?

No visa is required if you will remain in the airport during this stopover.
