Since your hotel in Shanghai is near the Wujiachang, which is a famous shopping center in Shanghai, so you ca go there. Pairs Spring Shopping Mall and Utama Shopping Center are there and you can take cab to there to buy want you want.
As for Beijing, your hotel is close to subway line 1, so I advise you to take the subway line 1 to go to Xidan, which is a shopping center in Beijing. You can buy all the things there.
