Pet issue

Universities approved our family for a work "Z" visa with all the required documentation. However, we have a pet as a member of our family (dog, pure breed with all records and services). University does not object at all having the pet with us as long as we take care and are responsible for it. I was told that we may have only customs problems with it. What does that mean and what should be done? As for the documents and passport for it we have all in order including immunization and vaccinations. His passport is also international one. Please advise.

Pet Immigration Rules for China is very strict, so you are suggested not to bring your dog if you are not going to stay for several years. All pets are required to go into quarantine for 7 days even if they meet all the requirements of entry.

We understand that pet requirements are very strict but not impossible, I assume. Where can we find or whom to contact to obtain the profound information on procedures for having pet with us.

Sorry, you'd better contact your airline company or an Import and export company for the latest information.
