Necessity of letter of recommendation/invitation from Chinese Foreign Ministry for L type visa.
I am a senior Pakistani citizen.My wife is a doctor and is in government service.We wish to visit China to see our son who is studying medicine in Xian Jiatong University.Apart from the requirements which have been listed for L type visa we are told that we shall need a letter of recommendation /invitation from your foreign ministry. Kindly advise whether this information is correct and if so how should we arrange the requisite letter.
