Staying in Sha Tin

Hi there, is the best way to come from Sha Tin by the E42 bus? Does the bus take us directly to the Cable Car terminal? Does the cable car take us to the buddha & the monastery? Then do we catch the cable car back to the terminal and get the bus back to Sha Tin? Approx how long will this take? We would love to have the delicious vegetarian lunch at Po Lin, do we need to book? Thanks so much, Ms.CA (Australia)
