About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Apply for Chinese Passport for child under 16

I am a Chinese citizen. My daughter (7 years old) was born here in USA. I am going back to Beijing where I have
hu kou. How do I apply for Chinese passport for my daughter so she can apply for Beijing Hu kou when
she is back with me.

Was your daughter born in Beijing? Was her birth certificate issued in Beijing? If so you can apply for a Chinese passport for her from the China emabssy or consulate-general in your living place with the following documents:
1. passport application form that should be truly and completely filled
2. 4 passport standard photos taken recently
3. her birth certificate
4. her residence permit in US
